Drapers' Brookside Support Fund

At Drapers’ Brookside Infant & Junior Schools, we believe that every child should arrive at school feeling safe, valued and ready to learn. As a caring and inclusive school at the heart of the Harold Hill community, we know that many of our families face significant financial and personal challenges that can make everyday life difficult.

For some children, the barriers to learning begin long before they enter the classroom. Worries about having enough food, suitable clothing or other essential items can affect attendance, confidence and wellbeing. Families may also experience unexpected crises that leave them needing immediate support.

Our Support Fund allows us to respond quickly and compassionately when families need us most. Donations help provide essentials such as food, school uniform, clothing, educational resources, transport and emergency household items, ensuring that children have what they need to fully participate in school life.

Alongside this vital support, our long-standing relationship with The Drapers’ Company provides pupils with enriching opportunities that go beyond the school budget, broadening horizons and creating memorable experiences that enhance their education. While The Drapers’ Company helps to inspire and enrich our pupils' learning, the Support Fund ensures that no child misses out on the essentials they need to access those opportunities and thrive at school.

By removing barriers to learning and providing support when it is needed most, we can give children the confidence to focus on learning, build friendships and achieve their full potential. Every donation, whatever the amount, directly supports pupils in our school community and helps us ensure that no child is left behind because of circumstances beyond their control.

Together, we can give every child the opportunity to thrive.
